About me

Hello and welcome to my website!

My name is Yuri Mednikov (Iurii Mednikov) and I am an independent software architect, living in Prague, Czech Republic. My main area of expertise includes reactive programming on JVM with such technologies like Vert.x, Spring Webflux, Micronaut, Ktor, frontend (Vue, React) and functional programming with Clojure and Scala. That does not mean, that I have never built any Django app in my life, but if you want to hire me, please review what could I do for you first.

I am a certified Java Programmer and Scrum master. I studied my bachelor degree in Computing in Prague College and worked with companies like UniCredit Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Mercedes Benz etc.

Outside of this blog, you can find my writings on Medium, DZone and Dev.to. I also have published two books on Java-related topics: Friendly Webflux and Principles of Vertx. Both are available to purchase from Leanpub.

Unlike my previous blogging attempts, this website would not be devoted solely to computer programming. I would like to share with readers my other interests, namely – my journey of learning karate.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
